Nicole Pletts is a Durban artist who paints daily with her dogs for companionship from her sunlit studio in Mt Edgecombe in KZN. Her work is varied but unique style never changes - whether she's painting masculine contemporary pieces, sensitive nudes or delicate flowers...
I don’t spend time analyzing or questioning why I paint what I do, or why I use muted colors (especially brown as it is my singularly most disliked color in the every respect – and yet it is the color I use most). I am acutely aware of images around me and constantly keep a camera on hand in order not to miss any opportunities.
Nicole has won numerous awards and participated in various solo and group exhibitions.
