OUR ARTIST

Glendine

Glendine captures the elusive vastness of the Namib and Karoo with a beautifully balanced use of detailed line work and generous swaths of sky and texture. Her landscapes are inspired by crumbling and deserted homesteads, rusty windmills and dust-laden red sunsets. Her relationship with God is revealed in her latest works depicting death, life and heaven after suffering a deep personal tragedy. Working in a vibrant colourist and expressive style conveys hope, optimism and a zest for life. She studied Fine Art at Pretoria Technicon and taught extensively at schools as well as private painting groups. She currently lives in De Rust in the Klein Karoo. She has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in South Africa and in New York. Her work adorns homes and embassies in the UK, USA, Australia and South Africa, and is highly collectable and sought after.
