Maria Viktor is a born and bred West Coast artist. Maria Viktor grew up in Velddrif, and now resides in Cape Town. In 2014 Viktor’s exceptional talent was noticed by Voir Fine Art Gallery, who has been actively promoting the work since then. Maria Viktor mostly works in a one colour pallet of black only, leaving the negative space created by the white canvas, to do the rest. The works are soul piercing and strong, while at the same time unmistakably feminine and sensitive.
